COMMENTS: The EF 100-300/5.6L was Canon's first 100-300 zoom and is still one of the better zooms in this range. It's an "L" series lens and uses special glass to minimize aberrations. The downside of the lens is that it's slow at a constant f5.6 at all focal lengths, the AF motor is slow and noisy by current USM motor standards and it's a "push-pull" zoom, which many people don't like. It's strong point is good performance, even at 300mm, the point at which most telephoto zooms start to show weakness.
