COMMENTS: The EF 90-300/4.5-5.6 is a lens only sold by Canon in Europe. It's sometimes sold as a "kit" lens and it has a plastic lensmount. It is not sold in the USA, except as a "grey market import" by a few stores. It seems fairly similar to the EF 75-300/4-5.6 and the price isn't very different, so I'd probably go with the 75-300 since it covers a wider range and has a metal lens mount. According to Canon (Europe) the AF drive has been optimized for the EOS 300V (known as the EOS Rebel Ti in the USA) and is faster than that of the similar EF 75-300/4-5.6
