COMMENTS: A very good lens at a very reasonable price. The 28/2.8 is a relatively simple design, but quite sharp and shows high contrast with very little distortion. Since it doesn't use a ring USM motor price is kept down and you don't really need it on a wideangle lens anyway. Note that a 28mm lens makes a very good "normal" lens on a APS-C DSLR where it provides about the same field of view as a 45mm lens would on a full frame body.
